The &#8220;typical&#8221; real number is normal in base 10, but writing down specific examples is very difficult. For example, 0.2 3 5 7 11 13 \u2026 is normal in base 10, but it is unknown if numbers such as Pi, e, or sqrt{2} are normal in base 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surprisingly, normality lies on the intersection of many different areas of mathematics.
